Ye’s Political Treasurer Resigns
The treasurer of Kanye West’s (now commonly known as Ye) presidential campaign for 2024 has called it quits.
Patrick Krason notified the US Federal Election Commission (FEC) of his resignation via letter this week, while also raising allegations that West’s campaign adviser, Milo Yiannopoulos, may have “submitted falsified invoices, and for expenditures that would be deemed unlawful” during the 45-year-old rapper’s unsuccessful bid for the Oval Office that year.
Yiannopoulos has denied all allegations, saying he would not “give any credence to ridiculous, and easily disproved claims.”
The bad news keeps piling up for the “Jesus Walks” hitmaker following a string of discriminatory tweets in October last year that cost him an Adidas endorsement, record label Def Jam dropping him, and several magazines distancing themselves from the inflammatory media icon , who lost his billionaire status as a result.
Ye – who must still officially declare his run for US president and file it with the FEC – has yet to comment publicly on Krason’s claims.
